LoU's Original Batiks.. norens

The noren is a traditional Japanese textile that can be used as a room divider or  decorative element. They are placed in doorways both inside and outside. They assist in climate control, privacy and their movement can also keep the bugs out. LoU having grown up in Japan has taken this tradition and worked them into his batik designs utilizing all natural indigo and soga dyes to create these exquisite contemporary design motifs. They can also be hung directly on the wall as works of art.

If incorporating these norens into your door or window, we recommend measuring the width of the desired destination so to be certain they will fit. All of these noren have a hand sewn top channel that will fit a thin rod with which to hang them. Hardware not included.

These norens are either split norens or solid. the 'split noren' is a panel that is open down the center line to add to air flow and motion. The solid noren is one panel only.
