East West Woven Jackets by LoU
LoU was inspired to create a series of 'East West Jackets' working with a variety of wonderful textiles he collected along his travels throughout the Indonesian islands. He loved the concept that the same unique collar design could be worn as a nehru collar (as is traditionally worn in the east) and a turned down and open collar (as is traditionally worn in the west.) All of these jackets are one of a kind and there are only a few remaining in the collection. They are LoU works of art and when they're gone.. they're gone.
This particular jacket is constructed from his naturally dyed woven textiles from the island of Sumba. It has two front pockets, three quarter length sleeves and decorative fringe in the front. It is the only 'U' shaped jacket in the collection.
