East West Woven Jackets by LoU
LoU was inspired to create a series of 'East West Jackets' working with a variety of wonderful textiles he collected along his travels throughout the Indonesian islands. He loved the concept that the same unique collar design could be worn as a nehru collar (as is traditionally worn in the east) and a turned down and open collar (as is traditionally worn in the west.) These jackets can be worn loosely or belted at the waist to give a more tapered appearance. All of these jackets are one of a kind and there are only a few remaining in the collection. They are LoU works of art and when they're gone.. they're gone.
This particular piece is LoU's wonderful 'mosquito jacket'. All natural fibers in a loose gauze like beautiful open weave. There is a slight sun damage line as seen in the photos across the front and back and thus is reduced in price substantially.
